One thing i would recommend before taking the battery off is to pull out the fuel pump fuse and start the car and wait for it to turn off by itself. theres alot of pressure in the fuel lines and disconnecting them often causes fuel to spray everywhere so doing it this way is much easier but both ways work well regardless.

So in theory the way the system works, I just have idea, it circulates fluid or gas as you name it. If the system has a gap, which is oxygen and you want to remove it, isnt it different than a normal bleeding process? I mean if you charge from one end and release from the other . Obviously it is not correct but scientifically speaking

This code popped up last week on my 330ci. I put 91 octane at Wawa and the code popped right on. Smh 2nd time going thru this with Wawa gas. I've always put 93 but here n there I go cheap. Lol the code went away on its own last time, hopefully tomorrow that I fill up 93 it'll go away.

Great diagnosis. I have a problem here my vacuum hose to the front waste gate vacuum actuator cracked and came off. How do you get a new hose on there? Can I get to it from under the car? It seems impossible from above. Thanks, Jake

also, seeing the Seafoam and oxygen sensors on your shelf there it's perfectly clear your an enthusiastic amateur ... Oxygen sensors must come from the dealership... always... even though they are Bosch brand, there's a quality difference between the dealer and anywhere else.. Same goes for spark plugs... Don't know why but it's absolutely a fact. Also, you must replace the O2's in pairs, both the pre and post cat at same time, and for the V8's, it's best to replace ALL FOUR, even if only one is bad... that's just how it is. Also, Seafoam is terrible shit... don't use it. For a fuel additive, use the Techron one that's just straight Techron, or BG.

there's no such thing as an M5 wagon dude.... Super annoying that people constantly try to make their cars as much like an M car by putting everything on them as possible except the parts that matter ... the engine and transmission... Which WILL NOT fit in a regular E39.... I REPEAT, you CANNOT put an M5 engine and trans in a regular E39, especially the wagon. So you just look like an idiot with that license plate saying "M5 Wagon".

I had this code on my car I have a standard E90 came with regular headlights that did not have that unit I had to ask somebody on Facebook how to record it it worked now I don't have to worry about it now I purchased aftermarket headlights which made the vehicle look more presentable

Did you code the dsc unit to the awd car using the awd vin or the vin from the rwd car? I followed these videos on this and did everything so far but protool is telling me the vin doesn’t match and I’m not sure if i should code it with my vin in worry it might not act as a rwd dsc unit any help would be appreciated and thanks for the videos

Do the injectors generally fail in any other way then leaking? My cyl 6 injector is leaking for sure as the plug is soaked in fuel after just a couple hrs. As i want to go for DI delete when Nexsys works out the kinks i dont want to buy all 6 new Index 12s, so figured i would buy a couple used ones for spare, flip my existing ones and test them along with the "new" used ones, and just switch the ones that leak. Is there any point in bringing them somewhere to get them flow/spray pattern tested or is it just the leaking to be worried about?

Thank you Chris for this video! I am replacing the stem valves for my BMW S65 engine. I find it particularly difficult to do the exhaust side on both banks, especially cylinder 3,4, 7, 8 because the locations are very close to the wheel arch so the space is very limited. I am using the same pliers as you showed in the video, but it cannot reach in the the locations I mentioned above. Now I am ordering the valve stem seal pliers from AGA Tools, which has a shorter handle that I hope can fit that tiny space. Can anybody recommend a plier/seal puller for the V8 engines? It's pretty painful to do 😂

What a coincidence. We have the same kind of car and travel the same route. I go from Florida to Quebec to ski and it is 1600 miles. Sometimes I will cut off in New York or Vermont to ski as well. If I really want a short distance ski trip, it is Winter Place or Snowshoe, West Virginia which is only 900 miles. I like the idea driving just a day and a half and being able to ski. I know that the quality of resorts in Colorado, Alberta, British Columbia and various parts of Europe have better quality snow, atmosphere, finer food and After Ski activities. Nonetheless, I try to ski somewhere new on even numbered years back home to Quebec on odd numbered years. Most people wax skiis before the trip. I wax the car! But that is so it repels winter road dirt and slush more easily. My rust free, vermillion red and tan 1999 E39 528i with 262,000 miles that averages 24mpg.
